Faculty member were assigned as mentors and students were allotted to them in small groups to ensure individual attention.
After that, the mentor-mentee meetings are held during every session. The mentors interact with the students to monitor their academic performance, attendance, discipline and overall well-being. Parent Teacher Meeting
The department of Mathematics took the initiation to organize “Parent-Teacher meeting” from the session 2023-24 with the objective of strengthening communication between the department and the parents of the students. The meeting aimed to discuss students’ academic progress, attendance, discipline and overall development.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by, Dr. Biswanath Garai, Vice-Principal and associate professor of the department, who highlighted the importance of active parental involvement in students’ academic success. Parents were also informed about the mentoring process, attendance requirements, and career opportunities in mathematics.
Faculty members interacted individually with the parents and discussed the academic performance attendance records, strengths and areas requiring improvement for each student.
Parents also shared their valuable suggestions for student welfare. They were given a “Feedback Form” to fill it up and assured that their feedback would be taken into consideration for improving the teaching-learning environment.
The meeting completed with vote of thanks. Now in every session we organize this programme.
As a result of this meeting, parents become more aware of students’ academic progress and attendance, and a collaborative approach has been established to enhance students’ overall development.
