Student Activity
The Department of Zoology, Netaji Mahavidyalaya, regularly organizes Student Seminar Programmes as an important part of its academic and co-curricular activities. These seminars provide students with an opportunity to develop their scientific knowledge, presentation skills, communication abilities, and confidence.
Students are encouraged to select topics related to Zoology, Life Sciences, Biodiversity, Ecology, Environmental Science, Animal Behaviour, Genetics, Biotechnology, Physiology, and other emerging areas of biological science. They prepare their presentations under the guidance of departmental teachers and present them before their peers and faculty members.

• To improve communication and public-speaking abilities.
• To encourage independent learning and critical thinking.
• To familiarize students with recent developments in Zoological and Biological Sciences.

• To promote interaction and academic discussion among students and teachers.
• To encourage the effective use of PowerPoint presentations, diagrams, photographs, and other educational resources.
Student Participation
Students actively participate in the seminar programme by preparing and presenting their selected topics. After each presentation, an interactive discussion and question-answer session is conducted. Teachers provide constructive suggestions and guidance to help students improve their subject knowledge and presentation techniques.
Academic Benefits
Student seminars complement classroom teaching and provide students with a platform for learning by doing. Such activities help students develop the ability to collect scientific information from reliable sources, organize information systematically, communicate scientific concepts effectively, and respond to questions.
The Department of Zoology considers student seminars an important component of student-centered learning and holistic academic development.
