The Department of Geography has been a distinguished centre for geographical education and academic excellence for over 30 years, offering B.A./B.Sc. Honours and General programmes. Our department provides a dynamic learning environment supported by well-equipped laboratories, including a modern Computer Laboratory with internet-enabled facilities, enabling students to develop practical skills in cartography, GIS, remote sensing, spatial analysis, and data interpretation. A well-stocked Seminar Library and a Smart Classroom equipped with digital teaching aids further enhance the quality of teaching, learning, and academic interaction.

Recognizing that geography is best understood through direct observation and field investigation, the department organizes two academic field excursions every year for both Honours and General students.
