About the Department
Since its beginning in 1962, the department of political science has been one of the most active and dynamic departments of the institution. Initially only a pass course (presently called a discipline course) was offered. The full-fledged Honours Course was started in 1973. After a 61-year-long journey, the present department achieves its own separate room for the teachers with its own library and equipped with one computer and having sufficient space for reading and counselling for students.
