ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at Netaji Mahavidyalaya, Arambagh was established in 2010 under the Faculty of Commerce to provide professional management education to students in Arambagh and the surrounding rural and semi-urban areas. The department was introduced with the objective of meeting the growing demand for management professionals and offering quality business education at an affordable cost.
Since its inception, the department has aimed to develop competent, ethical, and socially responsible future managers through a combination of academic excellence and value-based education.
Over the years, the BBA Department has built a reputation for maintaining good academic results and preparing students for careers in banking, insurance, information technology, education, and other corporate sectors, while many graduates have also pursued higher studies such as MBA and other professional programmes. The department provides students with access to a departmental seminar library, encourages participation in academic and co-curricular activities, and promotes a healthy teacher–student relationship.
The department's strategic objectives include creating an innovative and value-based learning environment, strengthening students' managerial knowledge and leadership skills, encouraging creativity and entrepreneurship, and fostering openness and diversity. Today, the BBA Department continues to contribute significantly to the mission of Netaji Mahavidyalaya by producing skilled management graduates equipped to meet the challenges of the modern business world.
