Dr. Biswajit Biswas is a State Aided College Teacher (Category-I) in the Department of Bengali (UG & PG) at Netaji Mahavidyalaya under The University of Burdwan. He has been serving the institution since January 13, 2017, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He is dedicated to helping students develop a thoughtful understanding of literature and its relevance to everyday life.
His area of research is Modern Literature, with a special interest in exploring the changing ideas, social realities, and human experiences reflected in modern literary works. He believes that literature is not only a creative expression but also a meaningful way to understand society, history, and the complexities of human relationships.
In the classroom, Dr. Biswas encourages students to read critically, ask meaningful questions, and engage with literature from different perspectives. He believes that learning is most rewarding when it inspires curiosity, empathy, and independent thinking.
Through his teaching, research, and academic commitment, Dr. Biswas continues to guide students toward a deeper appreciation of Bengali literature and the enduring values of knowledge, creativity, and lifelong learning.
