Prof. Abha Dey is a State Aided College Teacher (Category-I) in the Department of Bengali (UG & PG) at Netaji Mahavidyalaya. She has been serving the institution since September 15, 2008, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Over the years, she has remained dedicated to creating a learning environment where students are encouraged to read thoughtfully, express themselves confidently, and develop a lasting interest in literature.
Her area of research is Kathasahitya (Fiction), with a special interest in understanding how stories reflect human emotions, social change, and the complexities of everyday life. She believes that literature not only entertains but also helps us understand ourselves and the world around us.
Prof. Dey is currently pursuing her Ph.D., continuing her academic journey with commitment and curiosity. She values lifelong learning and encourages her students to approach knowledge with an open mind and a spirit of inquiry.
Through her teaching, research, and close interaction with students, she strives to inspire a deeper appreciation of Bengali literature and to nurture thoughtful, responsible, and sensitive readers.
