Dr. Mamata Khan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Bengali (UG & PG) at Netaji Mahavidyalaya, where she teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students. She began her teaching career as an Assistant Professor at Sreegopal Banerjee College on October 1, 2008, and served there until December 9, 2019. Since December 10, 2019, she has been serving at Netaji Mahavidyalaya under The University of Burdwan.

With years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Khan believes that education is a journey of continuous learning, thoughtful inquiry, and meaningful dialogue. She encourages her students to approach literature with curiosity, sensitivity, and an open mind.

Her area of research is Medieval Bengali Literature, a field that explores the literary, cultural, and spiritual traditions of Bengal. She is particularly interested in understanding how medieval texts continue to shape our language, history, and cultural identity.

Dr. Khan is a recognized Ph.D. Research Guide in Bengali under The University of Burdwan. She mentors research scholars with care and dedication, encouraging original thinking and rigorous academic work. She also serves as a nominated member of the Board of Postgraduate Studies in Bengali at The University of Burdwan, contributing to the development of postgraduate education and research.

Through her teaching, research, and academic leadership, Dr. Khan continues to inspire students and young researchers to appreciate the enduring value of literature and its deep connection with society, culture, and human life.
