Prof. Sumita Rani Das is the Associate Professor and Head of the Department (HoD) of Bengali (UG & PG) at Netaji Mahavidyalaya. She has been serving the institution since September 22, 1995, and has devoted many years to teaching and guiding students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

With her long experience in higher education, she believes that teaching is not only about sharing knowledge but also about inspiring young minds to think, question, and grow. Her classroom encourages careful reading, thoughtful discussion, and a deeper appreciation of literature.

Her area of research is Drama, with a special interest in understanding its literary, cultural, and social significance. Through her teaching and research, she helps students discover how drama reflects human emotions, social realities, and the changing values of society.

Known for her dedication, patience, and commitment to academic excellence, Prof. Das continues to inspire students with her love for literature and her belief that education is a lifelong journey of learning and self-discovery.
