About The Department

Department of Plant Protection at the degree level was started in the academic session 1986-87 under the approval and financial assistance of UGC and Burdwan University with only twenty (20) students.with the increasing demand of education and due to the ever growing scientific agricultural practice, now'the number of students in the department has grown remarkable. Students who passed at Degree level with Plant Protection since 1988 are able to get involved in better scientific agricultural practice which results in the increase of better crop and vegetable production of our locality as well as our country.

Vision of the Department

To encouraging the students for gathering more scientific knowledge practically in the laboratory as well as in area of agricultural field

To grate ideal citizens who are involved in better scientific agricultural practices in the area of more agricultural production

To encourage the students socially to involved in the society so that the can interact with the farmers easily and get them (here the farmers) beneficial for better agricultural production

Mission of the Department

To grate bulk of students (who gather knowledge in the area of plant protection) and as a student of plant protection they can involved economically in the area of national enrichment.

Most important mission of department of plant protection to create knowledgeable students for better scientific agricultural practice so that they can take part confidentially in the area of public and private sector of jobs.

Departmental Activity/Students Results/Achievements:

In the academic year 2022-23, total 22 students appeared in the final examination out of which 21 passed successfully. The department has one Desktop computer and 01 Soil Testing Machine.
